The female reproductive system, capable of creating life and pain. I created this piece while suffering from my own reproductive issues. I ended up needing 16 biopsies and two LEEP procedures before eventually opting for a total hysterectomy to eliminate cervical cancer for good. I had a period for 22 years before I decided enough was enough. I didn't want to keep being treated like a lab rat. Experiencing a menstrual cycle at 11 and then enduring horrific OBGYN procedures to clear cancer from the ages of 19-33 was enough torture for me.
