I created this piece of art to symbolize the state of the world in 2020. This piece was made on April 17, 2020 in an effort to make sense of the "new normal," we were living in. As a single mom of two kids who had separated from the military and was set to graduate from Sac State with my BA, my world felt like it was shattering all around me. Not only did I have to put my journalism dreams on hold, but I had to stay home with my kids and maneuver co-parenting with no family while living on my own in California.
